This rubbish year 2020

So over the New Year my daughter gets her caravan stolen from storage but yesterday, 19th March she gets her replacement, a new, 12 month old Swift Challenger 560. OK I know we shouldn’t be making unnecessary journeys but in helping her collect it from the north west to get it to east Anglia we have interacted with few strangers.
Today, 20th March she gets news that her employer, a charity, is insolvent and she’s out of a job 31st March.
Life’s just sh*t . Happiness to despair in 24h.

There is a better time around the corner Kerry I thought losing my job was the end of the world but a new door opened hopefully when all this is over she will find something, keep the faith

Thanks, mate. It seems worse going from happiness to despair in 24h. One option is that her group within the insolvent charity could be stand-alone as they are externally directly funded for the work.

That's sad but unfortunately I think that will be just one of many cases all over the world and as of today has kicked in downunder big time. We are all in lock down for next 4 weeks all businesses ordered to close this afternoon and staff and owners to go home. unless of course they are essential services food medical etc.
We are allowed to go out for a walk but on our own and maintain a distance of 2 mtrs minimum from other folk.
Regards to your daughter Kerry. Life sure dishes up some rough challenges at times.

Thanks,John. Today’s news is somewhat better. My daughter and her group have spent today backing up terabytes of data to a secure location for future use. Our government support for failing organisations may keep them going for a bit. There’s been overwhelming support for the Animal Health Trust for whom she works from all sorts of quarters. The future looks less gloomy. A 3 month mortgage holiday will help too.
Meanwhile the new caravan is not far away to “play” with even if it can’t be towed anywhere!!

Yes we are all facing testing times Kerry and god knows what the outcome will be.
But important to find some positives in life to focus on albeit they may be seriously limited at this time.

One issue I am having difficulty with is the sports sector who many are moaning so much about how their club will survive etc etc . For god's sake so many are on massive incomes and so what if a club closes. Start up again after this is over. People need to read some history of the effects the world wars had on countries and families before during and after. Those that lived through those time certainly did have reason to moan but did they? Greece financial status of course is much closer to mind for all of us.
All the best mate.
