Gas scale has an in-built leakage detector.

HOW DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH GAS IS LEFT IN THE CYLINDER?

SAFETY

Gas scale has an in-built leakage detector. Its usage is warmly recommended for closed spaces.
We know that gas is heavier than air so if there is a leak, that gas will stay close to the ground.

Yeehaw

I wasn't sure what question was being asked....

I can see the amount of gas (actually liquid) in my BP see through bottles, but the metal bottles you can weigh them, then deduct the empty weight from that, to get get the weight of the gas inside. The empty weight is stamped on the bottle.

Another way, is to feel the side of the bottle, when a fair bit of gas has been used - there will be a change in temperature at the level of the liquid.
