They are in a field in Canterbury right now- must know an understanding farmer! Can you image the cost of travelling with it though with the fuel prices as they are!

I wonder if authorities will leave them alone and let them get on in life. I do hope so as they have tried to do what they think is right to help themselves

If they join the Caravan Club hope they have no chance of booking it on one of there sites, good luck though.

Why can't they book at a CC site. It's no different to a motor home, apart from another floor. Are bus conversion not very common. What is the longest time you can stay on a site without being classed as a permanent. Don't some of your site close over winter. Here its 14 weeks.

I know a couple of southern retirees that come up to the Gold Coast and book 3 months at one park then move to another park for another three months to get away from the cold. A lovely couple, and have been doing it for years. If your parked close by, this little old guy with bandy legs is there to help you set up then chew your ear for the rest of the day.

Hi Criag & Sue. The problem is that some people have found that on a large majority of CC sites there is a size restriction on motorhomes and this bus would be beyond it.

Hi Lesley a very common and popular thing to do here in NZ Many firms build them as a business and make a very professional job. Some do their own and the results vary from rubbish to superb. NZ imports a huge No of 2nd hand buses from Japan which makes up a large percentage of the conversions. having designed and built a large No pl;us imported many buses it is not for me but suits many people.
I love my caravan.

Thanks for the reply John, maybe they'll have to put on the back yard at Mum and Dad's.
