towbar mounted cycle carriers
has anyone had any experience of these things

I had a similar one. al ong while ago. Worked well, but remember, if you aretowing and you take the bike/bikes with you, this has to be added to the noseweight of the caravan for the car!

thanks RR i understand there not for towing with,infact i think it says you cant tow with them fitted. Anyhow its only for days out without the van to help keep him amused while we have a wander he can be 'offroad' somewhere nearby on his bike

when we got ours, it was for towing and carrying bikes at the same time, (Original advert) but I suppose they must have changed it because of the extra weight over and above the towing caravan!

i'm abit concerned by the fact that it says 'fits directly to towball' not towbar if you get my meaning.
Please note: this cycle carrier clamps directly on to the towball so it cannot be used while you are towing a caravan or trailer.

i have one on my car, its ok but when fitted you cant access the boot until the bike and rack are removed. Fitting is easy remove the two 24mm headed bolts that hold on the tow ball add the plate and away you go
