Ps I can never be too hard on my hubby. I always let him off as I love him too much. All he has to do is give me his silly grin and he is ever so handsome! Plus he gave me 4 gorgeous babies

Go for it, enjoy it, get the bug and you're off.

When I first looked I was looking at similar budget to you, the more I looked the more I wanted to spend. I sold loads of stuff to get my first van (Swift Conqueror 1995 Vintage). I used until just before Christmas when an insurance company wrote it off. Armed with the cash and having sold more things I went in search of caravans in the £6k price bracket, what the hell, go for it said the voices and with a little help from Blackhorse we now have the Bailey and love it.

Have a look at the threads, Rotten wood and wallboarding and Elvis is poorly in the internal damp section. Both these threads show how Mikey and John carried out their repairs with lots of pics and advice from other members, especially Abbeyman.

We (John) had to repair both rear corners in Elvis.
