New, Looking to get 1st caravan -advice and ?, Bailey v Ace?
Hi,
Just to give you a little background. We have owned a 6 berth motorhome and are now looking to get a caravan. Just the 2 of us (but we have 3 dogs!!!) We have started looking around dealers today - Origionally on paper we liked the Bailey's Burgandy -however we found the bathroom to be too small today. We are going to see a Bailey's Limousin tomorrow. Today we did see an Ace Jubilee Statesman which we liked. However we no nothing about them or company. We are looking to get a Mitsubishi L200 (With double cab and hard cover for dogs) to tow. We are totally new to caravanning, so any help, advice or comments would be welcome. Many thanks |

Hi there, we have a Bailey Pageant Loire 6 Berth twin axle so i voted for Bailey, we havent had any problems with ours yet, we saw the Pageant Series 7 Limosin on friday and thought it was a good layout for a couple or a family of 4, the washroom is of a good size and should suit you very well. We had an Abbey, which is a Swift group van, just like Ace, and the plastic wet locker underneath the front left hand seat used to squeak when we sat on the dinette or made it up as a bed at night. However still cracking vans, but perosonally i would go for the Bailey. If you do buy a series 7 Pageant, when you get your towbar fitted to your towing vehcile remember that you will need a 13pin socket instead of 12N and 12S. Happy caravan hunting.
Regards, Matthew ![]() |
