Hi first can I wish my yet to meet friends a VERY HAPPY AND SAFE NEW YEAR . My Breakdown Recovery is now due for renewal I,ve been looking at changing from Britannia Rescue to one of the many but reading Trust Pilot they leave a lot to be desired apart from the clubs own but because of their costing of pitches no longer a member of them so can you recommend a reliable recovery service

One of the very few reasons why we stay members of the CMC as we find their pitches are now well over priced and many commercial sites now offer better and more facilities. We hardly ever use CLs now, but find them handy however Red Pennant makes it well worthwhile. We no longer book our ferry with CMC as are members of the Brittany Voyage club and get very good discounts on crossing plus a free breakfast or a cabin for £5 on day crossings.

Take a lot of care !! I have travelled many european miles in a 2004 Citroen C4, when I sold it it was worth less than £1000. I use ADAC which will support you no matter how old your car is, however I was tempted to try a UK company as my car and home are insured with the said company and they would have covered me. The problem was that with this company and several others they will only cover you for costs up to the value of your car. Needless to say I have changed my car and am still with ADAC.

It is still very possible to join as long as you are not resident in the UK.
