The island of Islay

Has anyone on here taken their caravan to Islay? We were going to Britanny but the stupid Brexit May cause us pet passport issues until itís sorted. We want to go in May which is quite soon after the 29/3 date.

There are no CLs on the island. So any recommendations of dog friendly places to stay?

We are in the same boat regarding pet passports as the blood test for each dog is about £120 so with 3 dogs that is an extra £360 before you even pay for the ferry! WE have a passage booked to Spain in May but probably will be cancelling or postponing it until we know for sure.

Damn nuisance is it not? We may go to European Flyball Champs in Germany but that is August so there may be something sorted by then.

We have booked 6 nights at Port Mor campsite near Port Charlotte. Of the two listed sites, this one has a CDP for the loo. After my illness I need to go around twice a night. I didnít fancy trogging across a field in my PJs because I couldnít use the caravan loo!! Ferries to book now.
We shall go via Arran - last there in 1997 - and return the long way round past Loch Lomond and Glasgow.
