Toilet Chemicals

Hi could anyone please give me any idea about chems to use in my caravan toilet its a thetford ,should i only use thetford or could i use other makes ie maypole if antone could help it would be great thanks, the toilet is in my bailey pagent 2005 thanks

Yep you can use any make you like in your Thetford toilet, I have used about 3 different makes in mine.

Use any - we use whatever is on special offer at the accessory shop when we go, although we do like Elsan concentrated and Blue Diamond. Rarely use Thetford as it's usually the most expensive. We also use cheaper supermarket toilet roll and not the 'real' stuff. No problems

The best & proberly the cheapest toilet roll is Tesco's own brand, We were told that when we 1st started caravaning.

As long as the toilet rolls brake up inside the tank then that is fine.

Tesco's own brand do tried & tested oh & by the way i don't work for them

Just to get back on subject, one thing to consider is that some sites are "green" and require you to use "green" products in your loo - there are other brands than the Thetford ones for this also, including alternatives like crystals which we use see this thread http://www.caravanning4u.co.uk/forum...35&postcount=8

I ditto the Tesco cheapo paper for degradability btw
