Atc

Hi, I’ve just purchased a 2018 Swift Challenger 645 which does not come with ATC. Anyone know why this is so? Surely, as a safety feature, it should be on all caravans. This has also increased our insurance premium. Is this something that I can have fitted now? Appreciate any advice

I suspect this is a cost saving measure to make the van price more competitive. Perhaps the ATC was on option you missed or perhaps Swift think the caravan is so stable it isn't required? ATC can be retrofitted - videos showing self fit on Youtube, and a quick internet search will list Alko service places near you if you want it fitted. A quick search shows prices £500+ for fitting. Do a bit of research and you can probably get a cheaper. Hope you get it sorted. Brian

It normally is an add on some dealers tend not to mention it to keep the price down .
It can be retrofitted I would let Alko do it it's about the £500 mark but well worth it
