I’ve taken the difficult decision to cancel my much needed 4 weeks in Cornwall this summer ***128575;. Although the site say they are still getting bookings in I am not prepared to risk getting this and killing myself, being in the high risk group ***128575;. There’s always next summer ***127774;

As of mid night boarders are closed to everyone except NZ's returning home.
Events of 100 or more cancelled and not permitted. No of cases as of tonight's news now 28 confirmed all from travelers returning or visitors to our country.
Your country is in trouble and we are on the same road. Scary to say the least, but we must deal with it and try to prevent un-controlled spread.

We have a planned golden wedding anniversary in early June and have all but decided to can it. 25% of our guest list are very vulnerable due to health conditions and 75 % are elderly. We simply cant take the risk of a close friend or family member being infected or facing death. So frankly an easy decision to make.

We cancelled our visit to Blackmore C&CC and they have no interest in returning our deposit. In addition we sent an email cancelling our visit and then got an email the day after our arrival stating that we cannot cancel by email and have to phone to cancel.

Surely if you can book Online, you should be able to cancel Online? This was going to be the first time we used any club facility since joining last year.

So much for the friendly club! Will not be renewing our membership next month!

Have been onto the booking agent and they have offered me an alternative booking any time within the next year. Think I'll push it to the limit and book the same week next year. Think no one will be going away before September,

Well a week into our isolation period. Lovely bright sunny day outside today. I have my pond filters to clean, moss to clean from the path, then I'll sit in the sun, in no particular order, as they say. Must keep an eye on next door neighbours cat, friendly, always around my feet, keep tripping over it.

Yes people's actions and denial leave you gob smacked. Many parts of NZ the same.
However this afternoon government moved us from level 2 - 3 and level 4 in 48 hours complete lock-down. As of this afternoon business told to close and go home unless approved essential services Dr's, Pharmacy, Food super markets, etc. Talk of using police and military to patrol the streets. Schools shut tomorrow. Level 4 for the next 4 weeks.
Our confirmed cases climbed from 5 to 102 in the last 7 days. 2 cases they can't trace to overseas travel so accept they are community transmitted, that's the big concern as is with your country.

Regards to everyone over there and hope you can all stay well.
