Just bought a towbar at long last

Hi all not been about much nor have we used the van, in fact have not had a tow bar on the car since last september !!! well finally got me backside in gear and got a tow bar just need to fit it now then might actually start to use the caravan again.

Have actually got a weekend booked the beginning of September, only just down the road we are staying at the Shackerstone Family Festival, we are doing some stuff with the dogs there, will be a first for me spending a weekend away with no electric hook up, i better go check the battery.

Hi Stuart, glad to hear your sorted now. Pity I didn't know before as my next door neighbour has a towbar for a Mondao for sale, it's off an 04 model and was only on the car a month before they decided to change it, it has never towed anything and was brand new when fitted. Never mind it might not have fitted your car anyway.

Hope you have a great time when you get away.

I am going to stick my kneck out here and say... You will always need a 12v battery attached to the caravan electrics, not unless you go to a mains pitch and have had all your lights and fridge and water heater running on mains supplies, your loo is a manual pump one and you hand pump or have the water plugged into the mains system. Because to use the hot water you still would need a battery if you have micro switches on your taps!
