Carpet runner

Hi everyone, I want to put a carpet runner the length of my caravan on top of the existing fitted carpet, does anyone have any ideas as to what to use to stick it down, the runner is rubber backed..I have tried normal double sided tape but the runner still moves..any ideas would be gratefully received..many thanks in anticipation.

Welcome to the Forum. I should think Velcro, but needs to be stitched to both runner and carpet.

Probably easier to find hen's teeth in a desert than find a solution to carpets moving on top of other carpets. We have tried all the above and it did not work.
In our current caravan we use a plastic runner on top of the carpet in front between the two bunks as that piece of carpet probably sees the most use.
There is one other way and that is divide up the floor area and to have the carpets cut to the exact floor layout and then get them bound on the edges like in modern caravans. This will reduce their movement but not stop it.
