Abbeyman fortunately we were traveling up a fairly steep incline on the A1M in Yorkshire and my speed dropped down to about 45 MPH when the wheel split, the tyre rim actually came through the split and that may have slowed down the defalation so that the tyre went flat as opposed to blowing. But thanks we were both safe and no other damage to the van, it could have been a lot more serious. Phil.......
